I started this blog in 2007 as a way to keep track of the paintings I complete and as a way to keep myself motivated. I have many hobbies but painting is most certainly my favorite (although I seem to explore new hobbies daily - photography, calligraphy, paint decorating, house repairs, cake decorating, baking, to name a few). It is a way for me to relax from a work day and watch my numerous DVR'd shows. Recently, it has also become a break from studies (started my MBA in 2010).
The first painting I remember is one from kindergarden. It now hangs on the wall at my home in Mississippi. I like to think I have come a long way. Yes, that is a blue ribbon. I like to think they looked past the location of the arms...
I find inspiration from all places but mostly from my travels. I always have a camera within arm's reach and have been known to pack my DSLR/zoom lens in a carry-on for a work trip. I bought my Canon Rebel after borrowing my friend's Nikon above and haven't regretted it a day since.
